Bead Jar . The rabbit and giraffe are probably the oldest animal images I use. Both come from rock carvings in Southern Libya dating back about 7000 years. At that time the the region we now know as the Sahara was a lush, green savannah, much like the Serengeti is now.

The beads are from Mali (clay), Ghana (glass), and Nicaragua (clay). I'm always buying beads when I travel.
